1955 Chevy "Sucker Punch" -SOLD

F This truck was built as a fun cruiser and daily driver . It is a 1955 truck with a 1950 cab . When the truck was disassembled the cab was crushed by a fallen tree. So it was replaced with a 50 cab and is titled as such. It is built on a 1996 S10 chassis. Using the same 4cyl 5spd drive train. Runs and Drives great . I have put a few thousand miles on it . Recently drove it six hours out of state . Cruises nicely at 80 mph . Has a recent tune up and a new clutch . The Body : new floor and bracing with new cab mounts fabricated . The cab was channeled to give it a low stance and use the stock suspension for a nice ride. Cab also has new cab corners inner and outer . Inner and outer cowl panels too . The truck shows great patina but is super solid . All of the patina is original except the cab that was replaced . The cab was covered in sound deadening on the interior . The underside of the floor was covered in bed liner too . All new glass including a V-Butt windshield. New glass run channels and weather stripping except around the vent windows. Doors have new weather stripping , windlace and sound deadening . They close very tight . The S10 wire harness was used along with the instrument cluster . So speedo , gas, temp, oil and all function. The cluster is mounted under the dash in the center and swings upward and out of sight when not in use . The OEM 1950 gauges are intact and in good shape . They light up but aren't being used . No heat or AC installed. I have the setup from the S10 that is included . Headlights with HID . No heat or AC installed, but all the brackets and compressor is still there if you wanted to hook it up into a modern under the dash AC unit. Headlights are HID with LED tail lights with back up lights and license plate lights. Turn signals not hooked up. Wiper motor works and linkage hooked up but not in use. The original steering wheel was cut down to 15" and installed on the S10 column. The Shifter has a fake grenade for the handle. Chassis is all stock. The rear end was upgraded to a 4wd 3:73 rear with disc brakes with a rear sway bar . Stops great with 4 wheel disc brakes . The wheels are Boss 338 . Front are with 245/35 20 rears 315/35 20. The rear has brand new air shocks installed that you can adjust up or down for a softer ride or to adjust the ride height of the rear if you desire. The bed is a raised wood rustic bed with a sun washed and Faded American flag that looks awesome and gets ton of attention and thumbs up! The old 50's gas can is bolted to the bed and has the filler neck attached to it, so you unscrew the cap and that's where you gas up the truck. This truck gets tons of attention anywhere you go, I get stopped almost every time I drive it with someone wanting to take pictures or ask questions about it. It is definitely a showstopper and gets way more looks and attention than any $100,000 custom built car! If you are looking for something cool but fun and reliable at the same time then look no further. I would not be scared to jump in it and drive it anywhere. It handles great and drive straight and true with no shakes or rattle. I can drive down the interstate with one finger on the wheel running 80 miles an hour and not think twice about it. If you wanted to do a V8 motor swap it would really be easy and straightforward since there is so much available for a V8 motor swap in a S10 chassis see if that's what you're into but the truck was built to be a daily driver and something good on gas and reliable at the same time. This truck was built right and not thrown together like a lot of them out there. It is a very Solid Truck! It takes a lot of time and man hours to build a truck like this and to do it right so that it runs and drives as great as this one. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
